What makes The Healtheory mask different?
We know you are busy and we want to support you!
Our device was designed for quick incorporation into your busy life with an easy 3-minute cycle to get you using your mask as regularly as possible.
Your Healtheory mask is controlled by YOU using our App which tracks your usage, reminds you to use your devices, and allows you to get started with the press of a button.
Track progress with photos, share your success stories, and even buy more of your favorite The Healtheory products all from inside the app. It's a one-stop-shop for all things beauty.
Our Bluetooth connection is in a cable away from your head, so the Bluetooth waves are not near your brain during use. You can relax and have peace of mind that your EMF exposure is low with our device.
The mask and straps are flexible and designed to allow you to make a custom fit to you. The optional headstrap provides additional support, and the easy-find tab helps you remove the mask from the back of your head.
We want all your LED sessions to be comfortable for as long or as short as you plan on each day!

What kinds of skintypes can use LED devices?
We recommend as with any changes to your skincare routine, check with your physician for your specific concerns. LED devices have been tested extensively and deemed safe for all Fitzpatrick skin tones.
Please note that testing has not been performed on pregnant women, and individuals with photosensitivity, eczema, or psoriasis may be contraindicated for use and should consult a physician before using.
Who should not use LED devices?
Testing of products is generally avoided on pregnant women, so there is no known safety profile of LED exposure during pregnancy and should be avoided as the effects are unknown.
Additionally, individuals with photosensitivity, photosensitive eczema, albinism, Lupus erythematosus, and psoriasis should avoid using unless and until you have consulted your medical doctor. Avoid LED exposure if you are taking medications known to cause photosensitivity, or if you have genetic eye conditions.
Users with rosacea, acne, or broken capillaries may actually find improvement in their conditions from the application of LED lights.
How long until I see results?
The key to success is regularity! Daily use is most important and can be for as little as three minutes. For faster results you can use your device for up to 20 minutes per day, time permitting.
You will gain more benefit from 5-7 three minute sessions rather than one 21 minute session in a week.
In some cases, clients see immediate post-session benefits, particularly when applying the "yellow" hue LED.
To see a reduction in broken capillaries, fine lines, wrinkles, or to see hair growth on the head, it can take 16 weeks of regular use to see results.
Can I use multiple devices at once?
Absolutely! Our devices are designed to be used in parallel with each other so you can complete your light therapy as efficiently as possible.
We recommend taking the time to relax and enjoy the boost to your health for a few minutes while the light penetrates your skin and activates changes in your cells.
Are the devices warm?
No, the devices should not produce a sensation of 'heat' on your treated area.
Our infrared light is very near infrared, which is lower on the wavelength spectrum and closer to red than to far infrared.
Infrared light can feel warm as you increase the wavelength applied, but in the case of our devices, you should not feel a warming sensation.
If you feel any warmth, tingling or other physical sensation during your session, please cease use immediately.
Do I need to wear eye protection during a mask treatment?
No, it is not required. While the evidence shows that LED is not harmful to the eye and may actually be beneficial, you should wear eye protection if it makes you more comfortable.
Some users find it easier to read a book or magazine while wearing the eye protection, and others prefer the fit of the mask without the eye protection. The choice is entirely up to you and your comfort level.
Do your devices contain UV light?
None of our products produce any UV light. Red
and Near Infrared are opposite from UV light on the light spectrum.
Can I use devices after another facial treatment (microneedling, facials, fillers, etc.)?
Absolutely! Your LED device will promote faster recovery from any of these types of services and will help encourage collagen growth in the areas in which the light is applied, enhancing the benefits of your other treatments.
Is LED safe after surgery?
Applying LED light to your procedural area for 2 days before surgery will prepare you for a quicker recovery.
Using LED on the surgical site within 24 hours is the most effective window for application, but LED can continue to be applied as long as you wish on the affected area.
The same is true for unexpected stitches or an injury such as a sprained ankle. The LED light will reduce inflammation and promote healing. A face mask can be applied anywhere on the body that light is desired.
What skincare routine should I follow with LED light use?
You can follow your normal skincare routine! We recommend cleansing your face prior to applying the face mask to improve absorption.
In particular, green tea has been shown to enhance the effects of LED red light, so we encourage application of our specially formulated Green Tea Toner or Green Tea Serum after cleansing but before using your mask.
Allow the Green Tea Serum or Green Tea Toner to absorb into your skin before applying the mask, and then follow with your regular skincare toners, serums, and moisturizers as desired.
How do I clean my device?
Gently wiping the surface of your device with a damp cloth will be sufficient for normal use. If you have a more stubborn stain or mark, you can apply a 70% isopropyl alcohol to the affected area.
